Twitter launches embeddable direct message button. Twitter has launched an embeddable direct message button for websites. The feature will allow site visitors to reach website administrators or customer support representatives through Twitter’s direct message capability. With Twitter’s recent expansion of message limits to 10,000 characters, the embeddable direct message button is a viable solution for real-time customer support.

Staples launches iOS app with artificial intelligence for back-to-school shopping. Staples now offers an iOS app feature that allows shoppers to take a photo of their back-to-school lists and within 48 hours online carts populate with products. Staples is using a combination of human and artificial intelligence to process lists.

Miva Merchant 9.6 available now. Miva, Inc. announced the launch of the newest version of its ecommerce platform, Miva Merchant 9.6. Features of Miva Merchant 9.6 include new search engine optimization support via fully-automated data feeds, which create and update up-to-the-minute sitemaps for immediate use by top search engines, such as Google and Bing. The new version also offers comprehensive marketplace support, subscription management, and additional payment features.

Edgecase launches new partner program “Edgecase Ignite. Edgecase, a provider of product data enrichment technology, announced the launch of a partner program, “Edgecase Ignite.” The program combines ecommerce technology and service providers to focus on solving big data challenges for superior shopper experiences. Initial partners for Edgecase Ignite include: BloomReach, Certona, Cirrus10, Demandware, GroupBy, IBM, Informatica, Infoverity, inRiver, IZEA, Jetlore, Kooomo, Mozu, Oracle, RichRelevance, and Stibo Systems.

MIT artificial intelligence startup Infinite Analytics to power analytics and personalization for Behno. Massachusetts Institute of Technology based Infinite Analytics will now power Behno.com with its predictive analytics, personalization, and product search and discovery platform, to achieve consumer insights, and also analyze the product catalog into 100 to 150 attributes to gain product insights. Behno.com is a women’s wear label focused on ethical manufacturing and strong design sensibility.

AccuList marketing program matches direct mail with email and Facebook targeting. AccuList has unveiled a new cross-channel marketing program that combines email and social media with the proven response of targeted direct mail. The new Digital2Direct program debuts with a redesigned website featuring market-specific, downloadable information on thousands of postal, email, and multi-channel marketing programs. inVia Robotics launches the first “Goods-to-Box” robotics solution to simplify ecommerce fulfillment. inVia Robotics has launched an automated robotic turnkey system for ecommerce order fulfillment. The system fits into existing workflows without requiring companies to reconfigure their floors or change shelving. Payability teams up with Amazon Launchpad. Payability joins a vetted group of companies in offering financing for startups through the new Amazon Launchpad Services Hub. The Amazon Launchpad Services Hub helps startups of all sizes discover services they might need at any stage in the product life cycle. Antavo and Emarsys partner to provide ecommerce loyalty programs. Emarsys, a provider of cloud marketing software for B2C companies, announced that it has partnered with Antavo, a U.K.-based company that has developed a SaaS solution for gamified ecommerce reward programs. The partnership provides Emarsys B2C Marketing Cloud ecommerce customers loyalty programs based on rewarding behaviors and engagement. Emarsys clients in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Ireland can now take advantage of Antavo’s loyalty programs within their online stores, to increase repeat purchases and customer lifetime value.

Order Monitor Launches Version 2. Order Monitor, a platform to track ecommerce metrics in one place, has launched its Magento 2.0 module. The platform features support for multiple accounts, team management, improved daily sales forecasting, alert rules builder, increased application and page-load-time performance, new pricing, and more. Support for Shopify and BigCommerce is coming later in 2016. Contact on pricing.

Plytix introduces Product Image Bank for ecommerce. Retailers can now download collections of product images in bulk. Brands simply upload a product feed to the Plytix platform and then retailers can access the images in the Product Image Bank. Retailers are able to choose the size they need for each collection. The Product Image Bank is compatible with ecommerce platforms Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and PrestaShop via a plugin that allows retailers to receive the product images directly in their web store. For shops that do not use one of these plugins, an API is available for platform integration. Product Bank is free.

KickSync opens up eBay and Amazon cross-posting for sellers. KickSync has launched its cross-selling service, allowing all eBay sellers to conveniently sync their items for simultaneous sale on Amazon. Sellers can now manage a single inventory within the two largest online marketplaces. The service is available for a flat monthly fee of $35, $65, or $95 and sellers only pay for those items they choose to sync.

ClearSale adds real-time biometric tools to its ecommerce fraud solution. ClearSale, an international fraud-protection company serving ecommerce merchants, has developed a new, proprietary Mapper biometric toolkit to enhance the company’s Total Guaranteed Protection service. Mapper combines real-time purchaser behavior with historic data to analyze the fraud risk of each order. Mapper’s function is to thwart would-be thieves who have enough stolen data to impersonate legitimate customers. Contact on pricing.

Magento Commerce introduces holiday dashboard for merchants. Magento Commerce has announced a Magento Holiday Dashboard that uses a merchant’s live data to inform better commerce decisions for the holiday season. Magento also announced the companion 2016 Magento Holiday Benchmark to provide aggregated trend data across a broad set of merchants. Both the dashboard and benchmark study are immediately available.
