Editorial Content and Policies
Our mission is to help smaller ecommerce merchants
Our editorial mission is to help ecommerce merchants grow and prosper. We do this with easy-to-follow articles, blogs, podcasts and newsletters, all delivered electronically. We encourage feedback from our readers and, accordingly, we also publish comments to those same articles and podcasts, as well as comments to blog posts and directory listings.
Our companion site, EcommerceDeveloper.com, publishes specialized content for developers, designers and programmers of ecommerce sites. We encourage you to visit Ecommerce Developer if your interest is related to that audience.
Editorial Calendar
Our content is mostly planned around one-time feature stories and recurring departments that address a certain topic. This we describe further in our downloadable 2010 Editorial Calendar PDF.
Write For Us
We are always looking for quality articles that genuinely help ecommerce merchants. If you have a topic or idea that fits this criteria, we encourage you to Contact Us. In doing so, please know:
- We do not publish press releases;
- Our audience is mainly smaller ecommerce merchants;
- If we were to publish an article about your company or service, we would likely include the views of other individuals and companies in your industry;
- We avoid promotional pieces.
Blog For Us
Ecommerce merchants frequently learn the most from other merchants and from seasoned developers and industry experts. Our Blogs section is where these merchants, developers and industry experts can speak their mind. If you enjoy communicating and helping others, we encourage you to Contact Us about blogging on our site. The ecommerce community will appreciate your experience and expertise.
Consider Our Directory
Our directory is a terrific way to obtain exposure for a firm who offers products and services to ecommerce merchants. Basic listings are free, and thousands of merchants look there for vendors to help them. So, if your editorial interest is in obtaining exposure for a firm or product, you might look to our directory first.
Download Our "Getting Started in eCommerce" PDF Guide
We've written a free, downloadable PDF guide called "Getting Started in eCommerce" that you are welcome to download and distribute to your customers, prospects, students and/or colleagues, provided that you leave the guide intact and do not alter or excerpt from it. Download "Getting Started in eCommerce."
Editorial Contacts
If you are looking for coverage of your firm, or a client of your firm, we strongly encourage you to first register the company in our online directory. Basic listings are free, and it helps us understand the company better. After you do that, for specific questions or other queries:
