Will Schneider’s Top 5 Books

Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World by Michael Hyatt

“We’re all trying to be heard on the web, and this book provides invaluable guidance for separating yourself from the rest of the noise. Whether you’re looking to push your business, nonprofit, blog, or other personal platform forward, the books outlines the necessary steps to being heard in our all too busy and noisy world.”

Think Big Live Large by Andrew Darbyshire

“Especially if you’re experiencing a challenging time in your business or life, this is a particularly helpful book that gives real world examples of how one successful businessman pushed through challenges and adversity and achieved tremendous success. The insights on persistence and focusing your time and business are particularly helpful.”

Proof of Heaven by Dr. Eben Alexander

“Sometimes it’s important to put the proper perspective on things in life. For me, that’s unplugging from the business world and reading a good book on other topics that challenge the way I think. This book in particular was extremely interesting in that a near death experience truly transformed the through process of an otherwise very empirical and scientific mind.”

Chasing Daylight by Eugene O’Kelly

“This was another eye opening book of how the news of a life ending disease changed the life of the CEO of one of the largest accounting firms in the world. For me, it provides a real world example of the power of intentional living with the end in mind, which is altogether forgotten too often in our frantically paced society.”

Search Engine Optimization Secrets by Danny Dover

“I’m a big fan of empowering small business owners to at least play a role in their online marketing strategy. Because the SEO landscape has changed so dramatically this past year, it’s even more important for CEOs of smaller online businesses to have an active role in their web strategy. This book covers all of the bases and explains it in such a way that business people without an enormous amount of ‘technical’ knowledge can understand and grasp.”

Will Schneider’s Top 5 Blogs

Search Engine Watch

“Because an online business is nothing without traffic, I have to stay current on all of the newest information in the online marketing industry. It’s literally a full time job keeping up with the boatloads of information on Internet marketing, and Search Engine Watch makes it easy by providing the latest and greatest information.”

3PL News

“This is my go to blog for up to date information in my particular niche — the 3PL [third party logistics] industry.”

Michael Hyatt’s Intentional Leadership

“Intentional Leadership is a blog that offers very practical advice to business people regarding personal development and productivity. I emphasize that the blog posts are very practical — simple tidbits of advice that can be implemented with relative ease but that produce powerful results. “

“It’s important for entrepreneurs to get inspiration from other success stories and to find out the various keys to success that others have implemented.”

The Sandler Blog

“I’m a big fan of the Sandler Sales method and sales training in general has been one of the most critical success factors in my personal and professional development. Getting relevant tips on sales tactics and strategies to help push my business forward is an absolute must.”

I don’t read books or blogs, but I read a heck of a lot of web pages. I hope I never get asked to submit a reading list. It would be awfully thin. :)

But I do enjoy reading about what other people are reading.
