I can't believe I didn't get this up and running earlier...and I really can't believe that this is offered for free! I found out things that just never occurred to me before..for instance: We aren't getting traffic from a full one third of the country! Also, I had no idea how popular some of the links on my home page are versus others. It makes you rethink where the links are on the page, and how much they pop. Do some need to be highlighted? I also see that the bottom of my home page is virtually ignored!

Those are just a few that come to mind. There's so much to react to that I had to take notes, and that was only the initial impression looking at it with just one day of data....(which is clearly not an accurate representation of what's going on.) I need at least a week or two to start seeing accurate patterns, maybe more, I guess. Each week we change our promo, it would be interesting to start comparing weeks and seeing how promoting certain items causes more shopping or less. That would be an eye opener as to where you need to develop your product line.

I've also seen in just one day how there is one product..one that I'm not even promoting, that is getting a lot of traffic. It's not prominent on the engines..so if so many people are looking at it, why aren't they buying more of it? Initially I think it's cost, and I also think I'm going to show the product on a model to see if that changes their perception of it. As it is right now, it's a best seller, but could it be much better? Would it be in my best interest to make more of them at one time so I could lower my price? I'm going to watch it for the next month or so, and play with the presentation of it. I guess I could put it on sale and see what happens there. That would answer my price question immediately.

So obviously you can see what I'm going to be doing for the next month or more. Watching trends and making some changes. This is a really amazing tool. You are fooling yourself if you don't think you can benefit from it. At the very least, it'll show you your most popular products. I never dreamed that my one product that I spoke of above was so interesting. This is going to be completely addictive, and it's free. What is better that that? Thanks Google. You've officially redeemed yourself for all of my outrageous PPC charges.
