Lotsa New Product & Surveys
So today we launch our entire new Mix and Match clothing line. I am so excited!! We've been waiting forever for this day. The last time we posted new clothing in an entire line like this we couldn't keep up with demand. I think by far, that finding new product to sell is the single biggest challenge we face. It's exciting when you find what they want!
I also wanted to note that I've been pretty bummed out at the lack of traffic off of Shopping.com. I am curious what kind of traffic they attract overall, you know, compared to other services? I suspect it's low. We are getting some traffic, but not what I was hoping for. I am curious to see if my shoppers use these kinds of tools, and I think it might be time to do the survey I talked about in earlier blogs.
I used to ask people at checkout how they found us, and almost always it was google, yahoo, or direct email. I personally HATE surveys. So I believe they have to be super short. I'm curious if there's a clever way to do a survey that adds incentive, or makes it less painless. I could offer a discount on a future purchase, but honestly don't want to get into coupon codes. I've never used them before. I could offer a special product at a reduced price if they fill the survey out. I don't know. I don't get excited about annoying my customers. I am in Maine this week with family. It's been snowing....in April! I don't know why that surprises me, but it sort of stinks...especially since I was really looking forward to doing some things outside. But you have to know that I have been bringing my dog, Bosco, to the beach every morning at 6am, and even though it's been in the 30's, he's been swimming! I tried to keep him out, but he's a retriever, and he's just hardwired to swim despite that brutal Maine chill. I, on the other hand, enjoy strolling on the beach with a beautiful sunrise, a hot coffee, and the other crazy dog folk. I miss Maine a lot. It's really nice to be home.
