My new toy!
I love technology, even when it involves a learning curve... I love to learn it. Lee Ann and I just bought iPhones. This thing is brilliant, and intuitive. My only complaint, if I must have one, is that it's so cool, I can't leave it alone, and my family is in protest. No really, it's just a little big. But that's because I'm used to carrying around a little razr that slips in a pocket.
I obviously have never had a blackberry. I've needed one for over a year now, and tried to use a Palm Pilot, but that was rediculous because I was carrying around two things all of the time, and so I just stopped using it. Once I found out the iPhone was coming, I waited for it. It's everything you'd expect from Apple.
The iphone makes me a bit more compulsive, however. I'm just not used to it, and it makes me nervous. I feel like I need to use it to it's full capacity, and there's so much to it: email, texts, voicemail (so cool!), music, calendars, etc, etc. Until now, it was probably ok to not receive email while on the elliptical trainer at the gym, or be able to text while on said elliptical... but I LOVE that I can! Somehow it doesn't feel obnoxious when your doing it on something that just looks so cool, and is easy to use.
I think overall I just appreciate that my life feels easier now. I am able to keep all sorts of notes in one place. And when you have a small business like mine, and are responsible for so many facets of it, it's great to have a notepad with you that keeps a running list of all the millions of things you could do for the site if you had the time. If I had the time, I'd: redo the home page and update all product pages, refresh the salemail format, sell advertising in the blog (which involves a huge time commitment in research, and that's a blog entry in and of itself) My to do list is long but because I'm walking around with my phone/notepad, I'm really good at keeping track of all of my ideas.
ok, I'm stepping down from my Iphone soapbox. It's just nice to invest in something that's not only "wicked cool" but also extremely functional too!
