Baby it's cold outside..
It's freezing here. And that's my favorite Christmas song, which I've heard twice today since every radio station insists on playing holiday tunes. And right now as I type, Oprah is giving away 3 thousand dollar refrigerators with tv's in them. Tis the season of giving right? Well that's funny, since on my site, they are pretty much buying for themselves. Good for them.. I'm all for it.
It's just odd that I can't seem to pump in a lot of the gift givers. In the past we've sent out incentives for our mailing list to share with families.. that seemed desperate to me. I can pay the engines, but that basically becomes a break even for us. The one benefit to paying engines is that we move in new customers when we do, always a plus. It still annoys me to no end, since we are placed very high organically.
Yep, it's cold outside, and we are doing ok... better than last year. I find myself not really understanding that it's Christmas in a week and a half. It was too warm for too long. No one is feeling the season yet. I haven't even contemplated photo cards for my own family. That's like law in suburbia. I sent mine out a little late last year and got calls from 3 friends wondering where my card is! Oh, snowballs! I think I'll get more calls this year, because all of a sudden it's Christmas and I've done almost no shopping, have to take a trip cross country a week from Friday, and my tree isn't up, and sadly on December 12th, this is all just occurring to me!
I'm thinking the tree won't go up before I leave town. Am I the only one to feel the pressure? To wake up and have it be cold all of a sudden and realize my kids snowboots are too small from last year, and it really is time to buy new ones. Perhaps my customers are feeling late like myself, and that's why they are buying more for themselves than for others. They are confused... tomorrow's SaleMail will say.. WAKE UP.. BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE...
Oh, and I really must go!
