Programming Notes

I wanted to put up a quick post about a new column in the magazine that we are doing called "Programming Notes". It is designed to be a column for fledgling web developers to learn some of the basics of website design, development, and deployment. Our first column covered some of the basic tools that web developers should have at their disposal, and this months (July) will focus on some of the tools available to web developers that help with server administration. There are many types of hosting accounts, however most have some sort of administration tool to help with common server administration tasks such as managing databases, setting up email, and things of that nature.
