Treading Water

Hello from the deep end of the pool. I'm still here treading water without the safety and comfort of my floaties. What does that mean? It's been another crazy week and I haven't made any significant progress. The J-O-B and the L-I-F-E sometimes keep me from working on the web site like I feel I should.

Last week I started working/stumbling my way through the "skinning tutorial" provided with my software, ASPDOTNETStorefront. In order to create the skin following the "tutorial", one must cut and paste code from one file to another as instructed by the angry college student (I'm really worried about this guy, he has issues). My big mistake was quitting in the middle and trying to pick up where I left off four or five days later. Try as I may, sitting there with my two tired brain cells trying to convince them that we really had been there before and that we could finish this, they just wouldn't listen. I really need their help on this one. I've tried it without them and it's ugly.

So what am I waiting for? I'm going to get up early Saturday morning (morning person), enjoy a latte with my two little friends (the brain cells... humor me), and start over with the cut and paste. I have all the confidence in the world (ok, maybe just this room) that I can get a skin created and move on.

What gives me this confidence? A few nights ago, we took the dog on a "W". I was telling Scott that I needed to make some progress with this software and decide whether or not I can handle it... before the thirty day money back guarantee expires. His comment? "I think you can do it. After all, even the deep end of the pool has a ladder" And you know he is always right..:-)

Till next time,

Sandy
