Hello all and Happy New Year! As for the web site, I haven't spent a lot of time working on it the last few weeks but I have had time to think about the past year regarding the web site and other stuff that you don't really care to hear about.

Lately, everything I've tried to accomplish with the web site has ended in a disaster of one sort or another... or at least it seems that way to me. So, when the fireworks woke me up to celebrate the new year, it started me thinking about how far we've come this last year. I know it seems like it's taking forever but.... I didn't have a clue how to create a web site this time last year. Some would argue I still don't but we're going to ignore them for now..:-) Starting in March last year, I have stumbled through creating our web site, setting up a shopping cart, searching for a better cart, moving our domain and site to a new host and we're so close to having our new shopping cart going, it's just not funny. Really, stop laughing, it's not funny..:-)

So, all that warm and fuzzy stuff aside, what's holding us up? I don't know. I tried the integration with QBPOS again today and my "Web Connector" (by Quickbooks) doesn't seem to be responding the way it is described in the text I've read. PDG Software has a great document describing the integration but so far, QGPOS isn't cooperating with me. Maybe it's me...??? I've emailed support again and I should hear from them tomorrow.... hopefully. I'll let you know what I find out.

So, I've got a little bit of a second wind and I'm ready to forge ahead into the new year. Taxes will be taking up a little of my time but since we got ourselves organized last year, it will be a breeze compared to the last two years. We learn as we go.

Next year this time, I hope to reflect on a whole new set of events regarding the web site, processing orders and SEO. In the meantime, our brick and mortar store has been very busy and after two and a half years, still gaining new customers every day. I'm getting more email responses from our web site and great emails from folks who visit from other parts of the world. I love it!

Till next time,

Sandy
