Waiting for the First Order
Hello all. Ok, I know we don't have much out there to buy just yet but that doesn't keep me from thinking about the first order. I'm wondering how we'll handle it. How many family members will we call to celebrate..:-) I'm not sure why it's such a big deal, but it is. Carol is nervous about her new shipping responsibilities and we're both wondering what will change about how we stock in our brick and mortar store. What will sell first? We already have a feel for what sells in our store but what will be the big seller online?
All that aside, we have a lot.... a ton... of work to do still. Overtime at my regular J-O-B, travel for business and a few trips to the store for weekend work has kept me from making much progress on getting stuff out there to sell. Things should calm down a little.. a teensy weensy bit, so I'm hoping I can get things done. I would at least like to get the online store offerings beyond embarrassing. I've been considering recruiting help from a few of my computer literate friends... shhhhh... don't say anything.
Beyond that I need to start thinking about advertising the site and search engine rankings. These are things I've only read about. I'm not quite sure how this all works just yet so I have some homework ahead of me.... more homework...yippee.
Better get busy.
