Which Way Do I Turn?

Hello all. Another week and I still haven't accomplished anything on my web site. Lots of other stuff has happened but you aren't here to read about that. Right now, I STILL have lots of changes on the "back burner". They are waiting somewhat patiently but are getting a little naggy.

So, what's the latest? I'm getting requests from knitters to add RSS to the site. Ok. It was on the list anyway but behind the changes to functionality that I soooo want to see.

How do I prioritize? Do I keep the path as I set out? Do I stop and investigate every suggestion? Don't get me wrong here. I love it that folks take the time out of their busy lives to make helpful suggestions. But I'm torn over which way to go first.

I think the RSS may be a quick hit. If so, I'll knock it out and move on as planned. I keep telling myself the worst case scenario is.... it bombs... then I remove it. Right? I'll keep telling myself that.

I also want a better blog. I don't like the one we have and it doesn't get updated often enough. I need to rethink that whole thing. It'll have to be another day.

Right now, I'm busting at the seams with ideas but my time seems to be getting more and more limited. This OT is eating into my web developement time.... BIG. Oh well, it pays more so I have to stick it out there and do what I can on the web site as time allows. Those are the sad facts. I'm plugging along as fast as I can so folks will just have to be patient.

Then there's the marketing. That's still the biggest mystery on the planet to me... bigger than the whole socks-disappearing-in-the-dryer thing. That's big. I suppose I'll figure it out someday... the marketing.

Oh... the frequent discount feature.... we do it in the store but people want to see it online. If you spend a certain amount of money, you get a discount or credit towards your next purchase. Again, our software has the ability but I need a few hours by the fireplace with my user's manual. I'll get laughed at if I do that during a movie... oh the pressure.

In the meantime, I'll keep adding to my list. One of these days I'll get it all done, then I'll probably decide to redesign the site... again... :-)

Till next time,

Sandy
