Weekly Podcasts and Fresh Content
We have finally made it to our goal of providing fresh content and podcasts on a weekly basis. Our printed magazine will remain the same, but thanks to some tireless effort by Mitch Bettis, our managing editor, we are also going to be providing new articles and also a new podcast each week.
Our subscribers will be receiving email notifications when we publish the new content and put up the podcasts. Of course, if you are an iTunes user you can subscribe to our podcasts in the iTunes Podcast Directory, or simply visit our Podcasts page and click on the iTunes button. Once you subscribe, it will automatically download new episodes as they are available.
Our first weekly podcast features a conversation with Mark McGuire of Jellyfish.com, which is a new shopping search engine. Their business model is an interesting alternative to pay-per-click advertising, as they offer merchants the ability to customize how much commission Jellyfish.com earns and how much profit they want to make, which presumable affects the search rankings based on some secret, probably magic, formula. For customers they offer to pay the customer at least half of the commission that they earn from the merchant, which equates to extra savings. I'm interested to see how this works, as the idea is genius.
Our email announcement will be going out Monday, but I wanted to post about this. We are now looking at more and more content, and hopefully we will keep on progressing.
