Five Podcasts for the September Issue
We are getting ready to do our monthly content update on the site, which will reflect the September issue of Practical eCommerce magazine. I have to say that August was a pretty great month for us in a few different departments.
First of all our contributing editor Mitch Bettis has been really ramping up our content which has allowed us to get weekly updates going. In addition to fresh articles each week, Mitch has also been providing a new podcast each week, which is usually a short discussion with someone in the ecommerce environment. I think that this will really help people in the ecommerce industry to get to know each other, and also to get people thinking about the issues they face.
In addition to that, our community forum has really taken off, and I wanted to express how grateful I am to those that are participating. I see a lot of people asking great questions and also some great responses and help being posted by our community members. Keep it up. A little later today I will be picking the monthly give-away winner for August. Always exciting.
Finally, in August we saw our website traffic increase enough for me to post about it. I think that it is directly related to our weekly content updates and community forum, but for whatever reason I am happy that the traffic is rising.
Now to the real great news. Mitch and the team have put together a spectacular magazine for the September issue of Practical eCommerce, which features a shopping cart special full of information about various cart options. In addition, we are putting up FIVE podcasts to supplement that issue. We have the interview that we podcast each month to start. In September we will be putting up a podcast of our website profile as well, and to supplement the shopping cart special in the magazine we are also publishing three podcasts related to shopping carts. Believe me, this is just the beginning. We are already planning and strategizing about the next generation of our website, and the future of the magazine. All I can say for now is that interactivity and multimedia are going to be taking center stage.
As for now, I have a lot to do.
