Swish Advertising Templates Added
We have some templates available in our advertising section for our advertisers and their designers to build ads for each of the four ad positions on our site. I wanted to put up a post notifying everyone that in addition to Photoshop CS2 (psd) and Flash 8 (fla) templates, I have also added Swish (swi) templates as well. For those of you out there that use Swish, these should have our tracking code already built in and with a transparent button, all ready to go.
For those of you that are not familiar with Swish, it is an application for authoring SWF files. Of course, since it is not made by Adobe, it is always a bit behind when it comes to functionality. However, what it lacks in power it makes up for in ease of use. I know some people that use it because it has pre-built animations and common flash functions bundled into simple buttons, which let designers just drag and drop things. Personally, I prefer Flash since it is made by Adobe and also is the most powerful SWF authoring tool available. But I will say that for a production environment, where getting a bulk of work done takes precedence over cutting edge development, Swish has it's place. Hopefully someone will enjoy the templates, and they will make a few lives easier.
