Happy Birthday eBay and Practical eCommerce
While practical e-commerce is celebrating five years eBay is celebrating 15 years. This amazing world of the Internet is ever-changing and growing with businesses celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and grand openings while I write this post and while you read this post too!
The freedom and opportunities online are endless and Practical eCommerce and eBay and both great examples showing the proof to everyone that the possibilities are endless to online success!
Practical eCommerce has come a long way with the change of the site and the new look and just like eBay staff may come and go but the bottom line is that the heart and soul of what makes a company is still close by. Just like it takes a neighborhood to build a child, it takes a community to build an internet website.
Practical eCommerce has a strong following and a powerful community of writers that impresses most. EBay is the industry giant when it comes to online selling as they provide the world’s largest online marketplace for us all to shop for the lowest prices and make a living selling our own items if desired.
Both Practical eCommerce and eBay have many more roads of change ahead as we all grow our internet presence and continue to learn new ways which does include improvement!
Even with the span of five years to 15 years they're both equally online businesses. They both were started with a dream, a vision, and a goal; ready to take on this place they call the World Wide Web. It’s an honor for me to be a part of both. I enjoy watching success and being a part of success. Surrounding yourself with success will bleed over sooner or later and everyone can feel the love and successful joy when you climb on board and become a part of the online communities provided by both eBay and Practical eCommerce. It could be anything from a simple bookmarking of a page to signing up for membership. Reading a post now and then and leaving a comment is nice too!
Today I wanted to encourage you to stop for a moment and ponder on where you were 5 years ago and then think back of where you were 15 years ago? Then take a look at where you stand in your history of success during these years. It could be a change is in order or it could be a new plan needs to be written. And then take a minute to just smile and give yourself a pat-on-the-back too because it’s readers like you that has helped to grow this amazing community at Practical eCommerce and I thank you! If it were not for visitors like you, websites like this would not be able to have birthdays!
Happy Birthday Practical eCommerce and Happy Birthday eBay!

As a fellow writer (I've been writing since 2005, almost from the time PeC started) and social media director, I join you in wishing Practical Ecommerce a happy birthday. This publication has been an important part of my past and I'm appreciative to be part of its future.
Danna Crawford says:

I have enjoyed your blog/articles as well and I look forward to reading more over the years!
I just returned from the eBay Birthday Party in San Jose and I am highly motivated to continue to share my love for eBay with this community too! I've been very proud to be on the Practical eCommerce team!
All the best to success, Danna
