EBay selling applications have launched making it easy to list items directly from a mobile device. Uploading photos and inserting the title along with a description anyone can have a listing up and live on the site in less than a few minutes.

Applications allow users to browse over 200 million listings on eBay and compare prices using the red laser bar code scanner.

Over 11 million users have downloaded apps and are using eBay Mobile with more growing numbers every day. The platforms being used include:

Shop till you drop or till your fingers are numb while browsing the world’s largest online marketplace. The most expensive item purchased using an eBay mobile app in the USA was a Porsche Carrera GT for $369,000.

An item is bought every second including a pair of ladies shoes being sold every minute. The eBay motors app sells a car about every 15 minutes and in the United Kingdom the eBay motors app sells a vehicle every five minutes.

The top selling categories in the USA include:

eBay’s iPhone and iPad apps are available in eight different languages across 190 different countries and can be found in all the Apple iTunes stores. More eBay apps complimenting companies include:

December 12, 2010 was one of eBay mobiles busiest shopping days with global sales that grew over 165 percent and generated a record breaking thirteen million in GMV. The 2010 numbers nearly tripled the 2009 GMV so we can only imagine what the numbers will show this December, 2011. EBay is expected to generate over $4 billion by the end of this year.

I don’t know about you but I want to be a part of those statistics and have taken my listings into the mobile device generation. Have you?
