Hello, AbanteCart! Hot tip on a cool new OSC program
I got a tip recently about a hot new open source ecommerce (OSC) program coming out called AbanteCart and took a peek at it the 0.9.2 version that has been in stealth development for the last two years. Well, I have to say I like what I see and I WANT IT NOW!
The storefront is beautiful, yes, each year we have increasingly higher expectations on what these free OSC programs should do for our customers and AbanteCart meets them in spades. But for AbanteCart, the Admin is MADE for store owners who appreciate great visuals. Who spends more time looking at your site than anyone else - hundreds of hours per year? You do, the store owner! Most Admins are ugly, utilitarian functions as if the programmers just got worn out by the time they got to it. interesting... so how about SEO requirements? e.g. short urls or possibility to add special tags, like rel-canonical (in case of managing duplicate content issues)...
