I've had good results so far with froogle, which is free, so I've been thinking that going to one of the PCP site might be a logical next step. Anyone had any good experiences? Anyone have a prefered site of this type?

Big Pusher of Amazon,

Shopzilla, mixed results, one feed kicks but, the other does poorly. don't know why though.

They are a pain in the but. Yet the rewards are remarkable. Also I have been sniffing around jellyfish. Looks like its new, There are a bunch of free sites besides, froogle you can use that get good traffic from,

Here are a couple of cool flat file soe submitters

You may look at http://www.ebags.com/

http://www.addme.com/product-feed-submission.htm or addme.com

good stuff on the site

http://www.softplatz.com/software/rss-feed-submit/ There is also one on this site, same thing. These are more for SOE then anything

SIde note be watch what you click on in softplatz, there is some good stuff there, but you have to be aware of the trip wires.

I'm definately up for any other free sites. I'm heard about jellyfish too, but I'm kinda cold on anything that's "comission" . The PPC seems like it has lower costs, but I haven't tried. Thanks for all the help. There are so many price comparison sites its hard to know where to start.
Very Happy

I don't want to hijack the thread away from the original question ... but just providing some additional information on Jellyfish. I interviewed them a couple of months ago. They are new to the marketplace (hence the lower page rankings), but they are different in that they do not have a pay-per-click model like many shopping sites. They are a pay-per-sale model.

You only pay Jellyfish if you make a sale from the customer they send your way, so it's a pretty safe environment. You don't pay if the customer clicks on your product at the shopping site and then just looks around. The QuickQuery we did with its owner is at:

PPC vs PPS

no question the PPS is by far the better deal.. and if memory serves me correctly... you tell jellyfish what you will pay them (has to be no less than any affiliate program you already have.. I would just as soon pay 5-15% on each order.. than pay 10% for clicks that I am unsure even produced 1 sale

As For free very few, and are usually geared by your competitor. Simple way to do research with out spending alot of money. Take buy costumes, they set up or bought a site, that you can list your products for free.

They then took the higher selling items and offered them on there site. Smart move huh.

Anyway back on subject. Not that I am not up for using jelly fish, because lets face it, more product, people start to throw on it, Page rank will increase and in return profits.

Also I was still looking into jellyfish. We have about eleven different stores, based around four companies product line. I just have to find out if certain products are allowed.

I tried to Email, Jellyfish as their site directed but they haven't gotten to me with info. We're a manufacturer so I'm thinking they don't want to list products made by small companies like us--not Fair-- but I understand why they might do that, they want decent quality, and anyone can sell cheap junk from china. Therefore not worried about any sites using us as research.

Thanks for the discussion on Jellyfish. As Mitch mentioned, we are working hard to provide merchants with a risk free model that provides a better option to the PPC system. We went live with our beta site in June and are adding merchants on a daily basis. I hope you check us out.

I apologize for any less than positive experience you have had with Jellyfish. I would very much appreciate you contacting me directly so that we can work on your account. My email is gsk@jellyfish.com and look forward to connecting with you. I am always concerned if I here about somebody not getting the attention they requested. Again, my sincere apologies. Thanks.

Sure I'll send you and Email. If there's a reason you don't want to use some smaller manufacturers that's fine, but a response would be nice.

I've just send feeds to Jellyfish and shopzilla, it will be interesting to compare the results of the 2 different payment models.
