Not that this really has anything to do with SEO ... but I really think that this page should be your opening Home Page.

It's visually eye-catching - great complimentary colors and lots of good content.
Pretty much everything your site offers is right there.

Just a suggestion. Smile

Yes you are right. But that is a ready template for godaddy resellers.
I am trying to optimize my pages for search engines.

If I directly forward to that page my site will not be included in any search engine.
Because then my URL will only be a forwarding URL.

But I am trying to improve my starting page.

The first thing I wanted to mention in here is that Google and Alexa are two different monsters. When you refer to wanting to improve your ranking in Google, you are basically saying that you want to improve your search engine rank (SER).

For this you will want to look at various things. The first is to ensure that your website is search engine friendly from a coding and content point of view. For more information about this review some of the articles on our site:

Search Results: search engine optimization
Search Results: google rank

When you are talking about Alexa, you are talking about the Alexa Web Ranking service provided by Amazon.com. This is method of ranking websites based on information gathered from the Alexa toolbar. The toolbar is installed in some windows-based browers, is available as a plug-in for other browsers, and is also included in some other places. Based on the information collected Alex gives ratings to sites based on traffic and reach.

The lower the traffic rank the better, and anything over 100,000 isn't accurate at all and should be ignored. So the first challenge is to get within the top 100,000 sites so that your numbers actually mean something. Once in, you can start to take your reach numbers seriously as well.

Reach is a number that speculates how many internet users out of every million will view your site. So, for example, if Alexa reports a reach of 100, that means that for every million people on the internet, 100 of them will view your website. Obviously, the higher the number the better here.

One thing to note about Alexa is that there is no real normalization to the data. Since the data about websites is collected from only limited sources the numbers tend to be a bit off. For more information take a look at this article about Alexa web rankings.

From a Usability StandPoint:

You should have a login form for your users on your home page. Don't make them search for it. The less clicks the bter.

From a SEO StandPoint:

On your home page, near the top, you need to add a <h1> heading tag with your #1 targeted keyword phrase and then a keyword dense paragraph or two explaining your services.

Definitely have a look round and see what similar websites are built like. You have a lot of scrolling for a homepage and I would imagine a lot of that is getting skipped.

From a SEO point of view a H1 is a good start, but obviously there is a lot more to it than that in such a competitive market as you are targeting.

Incoming links from relevant websites are probably your number one priority, but also review your content and make sure you have a good balance of text and keywords you would like to be found for.

This does depend on some rather tedious things i am afraid. Many consultants and business's make their millions from selling a lie. This lie is SEO. Keywords and Meta tagging and <h1> tags etc dont make your website rank high alone. Any major web designer will tell you the most important thing in page rank is the amount of incomming links from high ranking websites.

Now to breifly go through this with you.

If for example Microsoft.com had a link to you then you would recieve more page rank through that one link than through all the keywords and SEO in the world.

So three key steps

1, Incomming Links from high ranking sites
2, Popular and Relevant Content in pages
3, No more than 15 Keywords in meta tags
