I am curious as to whether anyone here has ever used a Content Management System such as Joomla, Mambo or Drupal for their eCommerce business. I know that there is a free Shopping Cart extension/module called VirtueMart that plugs right into Joomla and seems pretty decent.
Still, I wonder whether or not it can be expanded as needed. |

| I am a Drupal cheerleader but I wouldn't recommend it for a serious ecommerce store. It's fine if you want to sell a few items and you're not primarily an online retailer. Magento is a free open source platform that is built specifically for ecommerce so if you're looking for an OS platform that would be my recommendation. |

I have been developing my site using the Joomla/VirtueMart platform for several months ...
but WOW, that Magento system seems fantastic.
Question, are there template resources out there for Magento? There are dozens for Joomla, with hundreds of very cool templates to choose from. Magento seems relatively new, so I am wondering if much development for it has occurred.
