Date: Fri Feb 09, 2007 10:12 am Subject: Proposals to Product Sources - Anyone Have a "How To&qu |

Apart from affiliate sources, confirmed dropshippers and/or wholesalers, do any of you have any experience and/or insight into approaching companies toward partnering up with them in promoting/selling their products on your website?
In other words, let's say you have developed a "niche market" business site and your next step is to fill it with product. However, the type of product you intend to offer isn't the kind that is widely available via dropshipping and/or whiolesale venues. As such, it will be necessary to foster and build business relationships with various suppliers toward being able to either/both promote and/or sell their product on your site - on a sales commission basis or otherwise.
My question, therefore, is ... How did you go about doing it?
Did you develop a proposal package that you mailed out?
If so, what information did you include int he package?
Did you "cold call" If so, how did you structure your pitch?
I'm looking forward to any insight you may be able to providde.
