I've been toying around with some video tutorial ideas, starting with this little one here about creating an RSS feed:
Video Tutorial: Creating an RSS Feed
Bear with me, I know this one is a bit rough. I'd like to develop them to be a bit more entertaining, and also more cohesive. But I'm learning and we'll get there. I thought I would see if anyone had some feedback as well.
Also, I'm interested in hearing about topics that people would like to see covered. They need to stay at around 10 minutes, although we can easily break longer ones into multiple videos. Some of the initial ideas that I have are:
1. Removing backgrounds and dressing up product images in Photoshop.
2. Eliminating dynamic URLs with Mod_Rewrite and .htaccess.
3. Validate a simple web form using JavaScript.
Any ideas or input is greatly appreciated. |

I have been pretty busy with other projects lately, and have not had a chance to get to the video tutorials. However, this one was also added to the site not too long ago:
Video Tutorial: Eliminating Dynamic URLs with ModRewrite
It's also a bit rough, but I'm getting a better idea of how to prepare and organize these things.
The next one will be very soon here, and will illustrate how to remove backgrounds from product images using Photoshop, and some basic tricks to making product images pop.
Again, I would very much welcome input here in the forum as to what kinds of video tutorials people would like to see. |
