|
|
Anyone has suggestions to improve my site's visibility in the search engines without spending fortunes on buying the keywords on google or yahoo. My site www.questionsforinterview.com has been around for more than 3 years where I sell the ebooks and I saw that my site was ranked somewhere like 16 million.
Any suggestions for improvements of my site or its visibility would be greatly appreciated. |

I did not get any replies on my posting regarding the Search Engine Optimization tips for my site www.questionsforinterview.com.
I saw there are 18 views and none of them replied. Looks like I need to take down the site or redesign the entire site again. |

well, mallepally,
It's not just a matter of redesigning your site. Although, I do think it would help. One of the more important things when ranking in search engines, specifically google is the number of links you have to your site. Especially if there from well know sites/authoritative sites in the area you want to rank in.
Just doing a quick link check at google (links: www.yourdomain.com) showed only one link.) You going to have to greatly improve the number of inbound links in order to rank. A link to you is like a vote for your site. The more votes the better/easier rankings can be achieved for your targeted keywords.

I've learned recently that a lot of blogs will "nofollow" their outgoing links, thereby negating their pagerank-helping effect in Google. Also, I've noticed on many pages (even this page that you're reading now) the pagerank says "No pagerank information available". I don't know if that means it's somehow set to NOT participate in pageranking or what.
Even on the blog page that Volusion linked to, the outgoing links to others' blogs/homepages (in the comments section) are nofollowed. |

| This is a targeted traffic problem. Write some articles, post in niche related forums and blog. Add more good content to your main page. |
