Godaddy Tech tech support is without a doubt the worst I have ever used.
I am a level 3 tech at a major pharmaceutical company and I know how these things work. Every issue I have ever had with Godaddy has been blamed on me until I continue to argue and finally somebody there figures out it was on their end.
Based on the following statement, they obviously have no idea what they are talking about.

Advanced Hosting Support
Godaddy.com
" To have the emails be sent out, you will need to configure your form so that it does not write the submissions to a file and republish the project.

If what they state is true, then why did it work for years and suddenly stop?
Frontpage is set up to allow forms to send an email and to capture the information sent from a form as well, not just one or the other.
It's the same song and dance from Godaddy's lousy tech support everytime I have a problem.
I shouldn't have to be told everytime I need support that it's my fault. Fortunately I know what I am doing and don't accept the lame excuses from their employees. They can lie to non-technical people, but I know better. I would recommend using another hosting company.
Sincerely,
Tom Sawyer

Question . . . If you knew what the problem is, then why did you have to go through GoDaddy in the first place?
Fromt he quote you published, it does nto appear that GoDaddy was telling you that "it's your fault." Seems as though they were trying to diagnose the problem based ont he information you gave them.
No one likes to accept responsbility for mistakes and/or possible glitches ... but, unless we see the whole transcription of the conversation, it seems as though GoDaddy was trying to help you rather than knock you down. |

Please understand that the #1 support request for any host centers around the usage of FrontPage. FrontPage, unless you're taking all steps to strip out all extraneous code, is a likely culprit in faulty page rendering and malfunction. Note also that FrontPage sometimes will publish all pages in one shot, whether you've updated them or not. |

Question . . . If you knew what the problem is, then why did you have to go through GoDaddy in the first place?
Answer. . . Where did I state that I knew what the problem was? Before you tell me I am wrong you should read my comments fully.
What I said was that every time I have a problem and I call Godaddy they blame it on me, only to find out later that the problem was on their end after I fight with them for weeks on the phone. If I had stated that I knew what the problem was I still don't have an administrative account on Godaddy's servers so how would I be able to fix it myself?
tcraw1010, are you a Godaddy tech? Your question leads me to believe that you are. I get the same type of stupid questions from their techs.
My problems were not fixed until I posted my pissed off comment here and was then contacted by the office of the President from Godaddy. Finally I spoke with someone who knew what to do to fix the problem. It was on their servers and needed to be resolved by their techs. That was the best service I have ever received from Godaddy. 1 out of about 6 times they finally got it right, but where I work 1 out of 6 is a total failure.
Does that answer your stupid question genius? |

To PamelaHazelton:
I understand what you are saying here, but the problem began with no action on my part. It worked fine for 3 years and then one day I stopped getting emails from my form. I did nothing. No changes, no publishing, nothing. I explained this to the Godaddy techs, but they were lacking in knowledge and made ridiculous excuses up that only a non-technical person would believe. Everybody thinks they have the answer, but the truth is until you have dealt with the incompetent morons on the Godaddy helpdesk you have no clue. Nobody has all of the answers, but when they don't know they should say I don't know and then should attempt to find out what's wrong. They should not pretend to know what's wrong, make up an answer and try to put the blame on the user, assuming the user is just a user and not a tier tech. It's like a little league batter telling Barry Bonds how to hit home runs. I don't think so!!! |

FYI
The last two times I called the Godaddy helpdesk the actually knew what I was talking about and were able to help. A big improvement. I always give credit where it's due, good or bad. |

No, I am not affiliated with GoDaddy in any way, shape or form.
However, you yourself said:
| Quote: | | Fortunately I know what I am doing and don't accept the lame excuses from their employees. |
So, my question to you was valid, as you proported yourself as someone "who knows what they're doing."
Apparently, you didn't.

Your last post stated;

What sense does that comment make?
How do you come to the conclusion that I don't know what I am doing?
Are you a computer tech, or just someone who likes to act like they know something?
My autoresponder stopped working suddenly after 3 years with no action on my part. Based on that I knew something had gone wrong on the server side. Since I don't work for Godaddy and have no access to their servers to perform any diagnostics I have no way of isolating the exact problem other than the fact that it was a promblem on Godaddy's side.
From these staements how do you conclude that I don't know what I'm doing?
I am a tier 3 tech at a Billion dollar pharmaceutical company. That doesn't happen by mistake and people who don't know what they are doing don't work here. Obviously you like to talk a lot, but say little. It's even more obvious you either work for godaddy, or are just a loud mouthed DELETED! |

Well, if you did ... You wouldn't have had to seek help via GoDaddy's Customer service - would you?

Nope - Just using basic linear logic and common sense.

If I did what? Have an admin account on their servers.

What logic, what common sense?
There is no logic or common sense in any statement made by you in these posts.

My resume is so incredible that reading it would make you realize how dim-witted you are. Your stupid baseless comments are just that, stupid and baseless and your attempt to justify them makes you appear even more stupid.
Remember, Life is hard. It's harder when you're stupid. How do you manage?
At this point rather than wasting any more of my time conversing with an idiot-->(you) I will uncheck notify me when a reply is posted because I just can't stop myself when the opportunity to humiliate a nose-picking, DELETED scratching, finger sniffing, trailer trash, moron like you.
You can now continue to live your entire life in a blog where you and your male virgin friends hang out hoping that your copy of Victoria's Secret comes soon because your tired of spanking it to last years models, while I drive home from my 6 figure job in my convertible Corvette to my $700K home at the shore. Don't be discouraged. If you work hard and bust your DELETED for 10 or 15 years you may be able to get a job from someone like me who needs their grass cut or their car washed. Best of luck douchebag!
PS - You're an DELETED! |

Are you through with your little temper tantrum now?
For someone as distinguished as you fancy yourself to be, you sure seem to be lacking in both intellectual and emotional maturity/integrity in the way you carry on as you do.
Might want to try easing off on the caffeine for a while.
