Sitelock is simply Bait & Switch
My host offers Sitelock basic protection for 12.95 per domain per year. In their ad they claim it scans for Malware, XSS (cross-site scripting), SQL injections and Spam. Trouble is it doesn't until you fork up $50 per domain per year. You only get Malware scans for the basic service. I've also read reports that once signed up for basic you'll get an email telling you your site is compromised and we can fix it with an upgraded subscription. I opened a ticket with SiteLock after my site was shut down due to XSS on over 50 files. SiteLock never caught it and instead of getting a tech to call on the ticket it was a sales guy trying to get me to fork over more dough. I since cancelled and got a refund from my host. SiteLock smells bad!!!
