Sauce Labs is the commercial company behind the open-source cross browser testing framework, Selenium. Co-founded by the original creator of Selenium, Jason Huggins, Sauce Labs is a leader in the global Selenium community.
The company's flagship product is Sauce OnDemand, which accelerates agile team velocity by running their automated cross browser Selenium tests 10x faster, and in the process radically reduces infrastructure costs and headaches, allowing agile teams to spend more time doing what they do best: writing great code and fixing bugs.
With Sauce onDemand, developers of ecommerce sites can access powerful features beyond those supported by the Selenium project. These include Sauce TV, which provides real-time visibility into tests running on Sauce OnDemand cloud resources, support of automated Flex and Flash testing, and file upload testing support for all major versions of Internet Explorer.
Tests are run from Sauce IDE, Sauce RC, or Selenium RC using the open source Selenium API. The API integrates with existing test frameworks, such as TestNG, Junit, PHPUnit, RSPec, and Cucumber. Developers can also connect to SauceOndemand using an existing Selenium Grid, or leverage open source test management tools such as Bromine. Sauce Labs supports Selenium User Extensions allowing a great deal of flexibility. As a development team grows the number of Selenium scripts they run, the need to increase speed of results becomes more critical. Announced customers like Motley Fool, Digg, and PB Works and partners like Hudson, Bamboo and Adobe are the early adopters in the Selenium testing trend.
