			<description>The commenters are correct in that we originally published this piece in early 2006.  

However, osCommerce continues (in April 2007) to be a major force in the ecommerce world, with original and customized versions of it comprising perhaps the largest worldwide shopping-cart platform.   We therefore opted to include it in EcommerceNotes in April 2007, but we should have made it more clear as to the original publish date.

Apparently the M3 release is a bit late. Why was this interview featured in the newsletter so long after it was made?</description>
