Now that merchant service providers and gateways are requiring merchants to provide proof that they are using PCI DSS compliant software, PCI DSS certification for online shopping carts is more valuable than ever. Ask your shopping cart provider how it plans to secure your customer’s data, and also find out if your cart provider is PCI DSS certified, or at least compliant with PCI recommendations.
