Mitigate Denial of Service Attacks

The last place a website owner wants to be is on the receiving end of a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. DDoS attacks can flood a computer network or web server with so much traffic that it no longer functions. Talk to your provider and find out if it has a mitigation plan in case its entire network or your server comes under DDoS attack. If the answers to any of your questions sound vague and unsatisfactory, you might want to assess whether you can rely on this provider in the event of an attack.
