Ecommerce for 2013
The ecommerce business is fluid, and dynamic. Selling products and services online requires continually adjusting strategies and execution. Marketing options change. Devices change. Consumers' expectations change.
So how do merchants decide where to invest time and resources to meet an evolving industry? This webinar will address four strategies for 2013 that could help merchants grow revenue and profits.
4 Cutting-edge Ecommerce Strategies
We'll address the following key points.
- Niche sites. Many merchants are launching specialized sites that service a niche of their larger target market. There are benefits and precautions to this strategy. We'll address both of them.
- Multiple sales channels. Consumers now shop from marketplaces, comparison sites, social media platforms, and standalone ecommerce sites. Selling in multiple channels can help merchants. It can also harm them. We'll explain.
- Integrated marketing. The splintering of channels, devices, and promotions requires merchants to develop a consistent message, brand, and offers. It's harder than it appears. We'll offer suggestions, and examples.
- Tablets and smartphones. That consumers are shifting to tablets and smartphones is clear. What's not clear is how to adjust ecommerce sites to best use those devices, to make it easy for consumers to shop on them. We'll suggest good and bad uses of tablets and smartphones, using examples from leading ecommerce companies.
