International Shipping Increasingly Common

U.S.-based merchants increasingly receive orders from customers in Europe, or Asia, or Latin America, or the Middle East. Deciding how to ship those products — choosing a carrier, insurance, delivery speed — can be daunting.

In this 30-minute webinar, we’ll review affordable options for fulfilling and shipping orders to overseas customers. We’ll review the most expensive countries to ship to, and factors that influence whether to offer international fulfillment, or not.

Overseas Shipping: Affordable Options for Ecommerce

We’ll address the following key points.

  • Cross-border market drivers. Around the world, ecommerce has enabled shoppers to purchase rare and hard-to-find products, compare prices globally, and shop for physical goods across borders — creating major sales and profit opportunities for small and mid-sized online retailers. But these opportunities exist only if the products can be shipping reliably and affordably.  We’ll provide an overview.
  • Choosing the countries to serve. Cross-border ecommerce can differ greatly among destination countries. Online sellers need to select the nations they serve based on the ability to service the customer, the cost of shipping to the customer, regional laws, and the risk of fraud.  We’ll explain.
  • Selecting carriers and service levels. Shipping costs and long delivery times are key factors for cross-border shoppers. The shipping choices online sellers make can therefore have a significant impact on success. We’ll review the current slate of choices for overseas shipping. We’ll also offer examples of what leading ecommerce merchants do.
