16 New Productivity Apps in April 2013

The month of April brought an all-in-one app for your cloud storage accounts, a Facebook client, a Tumblr app, a personal assistant, a quick typing tool, and a predictive-intelligence app to help you through your day.

Here is a list of April’s new mobile productivity apps for Android, Apple iOS, and Windows Phone. There are both paid and free apps.

Windows Phone

Audible. The free Audible app is now available on the Windows Phone. Download from your Audible library, get detailed listening stats, and access the Audible mobile store. Price: App is free; first audiobook is free if you register through the Windows Phone app.

Tumblr. Tumblr is now available on the Windows Phone. Find and follow what you love. Share photos, GIFs, video, quotes, chats, links, and text. Display the latest images from your dashboard on your lock screen and live tile. GIFs play as you scroll. Price: Free.

Stopwatch+. Stopwatch+ is a simple time-keeping app. Time any event, working in the background, under the lock screen. Run even if the phone is completely turned off. Price: Free.

Apple iOS

Osito. Osito is a predictive intelligence application that proactively brings you the information you need to stay one step ahead every day. Osito sends you personalized push notifications only when you need them to help you make faster, smarter choices. Price: Free.

Triage. Triage helps you manage your inbox. It helps you to quickly remove the noise and stress. Flick messages up to archive, or flick them down to keep in your inbox. Tap a message to view its full contents and compose a short reply. Price: $1.99.

Complete. Complete is a tasks and reminders app. It features location/date-based reminders, tasks, lists, and notes. Add notes to tasks, schedule reminders or repeating tasks, swipe to delete. Price: $0.99.

Shopster. Shopster is a location-based shopping app. Whenever you check an item as purchased, Shopster leans the location where you got it. The next time you look for the same thing, a geo-fenced alarm will be triggered when you are near the location. Price: $0.99.

Docs. Docs brings your Dropbox, Drive, SkyDrive, SugarSync, and Box accounts together in one simple interface. Keep track of your free space and move files between cloud services when necessary. Price: $0.99.

Converter. With Converter you can convert a whole range of files into image files or PDFs. Convert web pages to PDFs, or convert common file types such as Word, Excel, and more. Price: $4.99.


Swype. Swype is a faster and easier way to input text on any screen with one continuous motion. Swype pays attention to the way you input text and creates a personal language model that follows you from device to device. Price: $0.99.

Be Reminded. Be Reminded is an app that helps you remember everyday tasks exactly when you want. When it’s time for the reminder, a notification is displayed in the notification area to clear or edit. Price: Free.

Bandrios. Bandrios is a counting app. Set your goal, and then keep track of your progress. Each increment saves the time and place, letting you review past events inside the app’s calendar and map. Price: Free.
