8 Twitter Hashtag Tracking Tools

Twitter hashtags are a way to organize tweets into topical groups. Tools are available that make it easy to follow hashtag-related conversations, start hashtag chats, and analyze data around their use.

Here are eight of the most popular.

Twubs is designed to provide a better way to conduct, manage and follow Twitter hashtag chats. The platform includes two main components.

  • Hashtag Directory: Users can add hashtags to a directory that includes topics such as conferences and tradeshows, events, organizations, business, twitter chats, and others.
  • Hashtag Registry: Users can also “register” a hashtag. Registration does not confer exclusive rights to use of the term in the same sense as registering a copyright or trademark, but it does come with some perks when using the Twubs platform.

For example, users get a brandable hashtag landing page like the one below, which can be used to host Twitter chats. Landing pages can be embedded into websites or used as a standalone page.
