Nielsen net ratings recently reported that six million more seniors are using the Internet in the United States than five years ago.
That information alone is, most likely, not surprising to ecommerce merchants who follow their demographics closely. Organizations like the Pew Research Center have also documented the trend and–of particular interest to ecommerce merchants–have reported that older generations primarily use the Internet as a tool for research, shopping and banking.
In order to reach the growing population of seniors on the Internet, it’s valuable to look at the online destinations they most frequently visit. That’s what we outline in this “Chart of the Week.”
