Beyond Amazon: 10 Enticing Marketplaces to Sell Your Products

Amazon may be huge, but it’s not the only online marketplace. There are dozens of options for merchants to consider. Some are specialized. Some are new. But they all appeal to consumers and offer legitimate sales channels for merchants.

In this 30-minute online seminar, which first aired on Feb. 27, 2018, we’ll review 10 of our favorite marketplaces — beyond Amazon — that can help merchants move product, and grow profits.

Beyond Amazon: 10 Enticing Marketplaces

We’ll address:

  • Marketplaces by the numbers. We’ll review the latest statistics on overall marketplace growth, in North America and worldwide. We’ll address the growth in shoppers — and the growth in new marketplaces.
  • Integration challenges.  The more marketplaces a merchant sells on, the more integration challenges it creates.  We address the importance of streamlining, integrating, and real-time monitoring, with tips.
  • Choosing products.  Most merchants prefer direct sales on their own ecommerce sites versus on marketplaces. We’ll offer a strategy of choosing products, to know which to sell on marketplaces, and which to sell directly from their branded sites.
  • Choosing marketplaces.  Deciding on which marketplaces to use involves the type of products you sell, competition on the marketplace, integration and fulfillment challenges, fees and commissions, and unique rules and terms.  We’ll suggest 10 marketplaces — beyond Amazon —  that fit the bill for many merchants.

Following our presentation, we’ll answer questions from attendees.
