Webinar Presentation Outline
The purpose of this document is to provide guidelines to presenters of on-demand webinars for Practical Ecommerce.
Overview
Our webinars follow the same consistent format. The presentation runs roughly 20 minutes.
Webinar presentations are pre-recorded. We (Practical Ecommerce) will produce the presentation from our custom template. The presenter’s face will be visible on every slide as she/he is speaking. Please include suggested visuals to accompany your verbal presentation. We’ll then insert the speaker’s video on our template with your visuals.
Organization
Please arrange your presentation into distinct sections. Usually 3 to 5 sections are suitable for a 20-minute presentation. Beyond that, please follow this process for your overall presentation.
- First, please acknowledge the person introducing you. You could say, for example, “Thank you, [NAME], for that introduction.”
- What to expect. This is a table of contents where you state the names of the sections you’ll cover. You can say something like, “Today I’ll be covering four sections. First, I’ll discuss [insert name of the first section]. Then I’ll address [insert name of the second session].” Continue until you’ve stated the names of each section.
- Present all sections of the webinar. This is the bulk of your presentation, where you present, in order, all the sections of your webinar. Please provide a separation and transition from one to the other so the attendee knows where you are in the presentation.
- Recap. After your last section, briefly summarize each section, spending just a minute or two overall.
