18 New Productivity Apps in March 2013

The month of March brought new meeting and video-conferencing apps, file management and system tools, note-takers, contact-managers, and a beautiful camera app.

Here is a list of March’s new mobile productivity apps for Android, Apple iOS, and Windows Phone. There are both paid and free apps.


Google Keep. Quickly capture what’s on your mind and recall it easily wherever you are. Create a checklist, enter a voice note, or snap a photo and annotate it. Everything you add is instantly available on all your devices. Price: Free.

Simplest Reminder. If you need to do something, set a reminder and your device will notify you at the right time. Create a simple reminder in as few steps as possible. Price: Free.

Muzy Chat. Muzy Chat is a messenger app that lets you send creative messages. Combine creative tools and send photos, collages, drawings, status messages and more. Price: Free.

Network Signal Booster Pro. Signal Booster will dramatically improve reception, improve cellular coverage, and improve your signal in areas where cellular coverage is limited. Price: Free.

System Monitor. System Monitor provides real-time system load statistics. Monitor CPU, RAM, I/O, network and apps from the notification bar, floating app or widgets. Price: $1.99.

Apple iOS

CaptureAudio. Record and sort audio into binders and notebooks. While recording, mark significant points with flags to immediately start playing from that moment during playback. Price: 0,89 €.

Kickoff. Kickoff is a streamlined chat and task-sharing tool for small teams. Collaborate on the go, both online and offline. Keep your activity in sync across devices in real-time. Price: $7.49.

Meeting-Recorder. This is a recording and dictation app. Record directly to MP3 and AAC — share the recording with your friends at the touch of a button. Price: $1.99.

Occasions+. Occasions+ is a special events manager. Remember birthdays, holidays, and other special events for your personal and professional circles. Price: 0,89 €.

Meetings. Meeting is an app for focused, productive and successful meetings. Outline discussions, decisions and deadlines. Distill your meetings into actionable items. Price: $4.99.

Windows Phone

Clever Camera. Get professional camera features for your Windows Phone. Control everything from shutter sizes and speeds, white balance, focus, and more. Price: $1.99.

Lync 2013. Lync 2013 extends the power of Lync to your mobile device, including voice and video, instant messaging, conferencing, and calling features from a single interface. Price: App is free; Lync account is required.

Add To Contacts. Add local search and Local Scout results directly to your contacts. Get Local and nearby search, with the ability to save a recent search. Tap the Add To Contacts right from search. Price: Free.

PDF Reader. PDF Reader is a free app to read a wide variety of PDF, XPS, and CBZ files on your Windows Phone 8 device. Price: Free.

Group Tiles. Too many tiles pinned on your Start Screen to find your favorite app tiles quickly? Group tiles to better organize your Start Screen. Price: Free.

Lock Widgets. Lock Widgets augments your lock screen background with information. Get weather conditions, battery life information, and more. Price: $0.99.

Typr. Typr is a simple, cloud-connected writing app that syncs seamlessly across your Windows Phone and Windows 8 devices. Price: $0.99.
