New Tools for Merchants
Shopify introduces Canvas for store design. Shopify has launched Canvas, a design surface where merchants build with Sidekick, Shopify’s AI agent. Merchants can view page layouts, understand the store’s overall feel, then zoom in to work on the details. Merchants can click on elements to make changes directly, or work with Sidekick through the chat. As it builds, Sidekick validates and reviews screenshots on Canvas.
ShipStation launches Ship with Walmart for marketplace sellers. ShipStation, a shipping and logistics platform for small and mid-sized businesses, has launched Ship with Walmart, giving Walmart Marketplace sellers direct access to negotiated rates within the ShipStation platform for U.S. domestic shipments. The integration allows sellers to purchase labels, access protections, and manage Marketplace orders directly within their ShipStation workflow.
TikTok unveils agentic commerce. TikTok is building agentic commerce shopping experiences that support product discovery and transactions, starting with Buy Direct and Shopping Assistant. Buy Direct is an in-app checkout that allows visitors to purchase directly from a brand. Shopping Assistant is a conversational AI agent that provides real-time shopping guidance, such as product details, shipping, sizing, availability, and purchasing. TikTok is also introducing an AI Agent for lead generation.
Amazon Ads introduces AI-powered platform. Amazon has introduced Ads Agent, an agentic AI platform. Ads Agent brings campaign types — sponsored ads, full-funnel campaigns, and display, video, and audio — into a connected platform for finding answers, supporting decisions, and taking action. Advertisers can use manual campaign-building tools, let Amazon’s AI optimize on their behalf, or both.
USPS and Amazon partner on same-day delivery pilot. The U.S. Postal Service and Amazon are partnering on a same-day delivery pilot. Amazon packages arriving at the USPS between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. local time will be sorted and delivered by mail carriers between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. the same day. Each USPS location will have a limit of 200 packages and three required delivery routes during the pilot.
Swap acquires Vizby for AI-powered discovery. Swap, a discovery-to-delivery ecommerce platform, has acquired Vizby, a Shopify-native AI visibility tool. The acquisition expands Swap into AI-powered discovery, building on its agentic Storefront and Checkout+.
UPS partners with TikTok Shop for no-box, no-label returns. UPS‘s Happy Returns has partnered with TikTok Shop to provide a no-box, no-label returns service for participating U.S. sellers. The service is available to participating TikTok Shop sellers, whether they fulfill orders themselves or outsource to TikTok Shop.
Contentstack launches Canoe, an AI visibility tool. Contentstack has launched Canoe, a tool that shows brands how AI search engines describe them and their competitors. Contentstack Canoe scans a brand’s URL to identify the business, products, buyer personas, and up to 10 competitors. Brand users review and edit that information before Canoe generates likely questions from buyers. Canoe tags each question by shopping stage, from awareness through consideration and decision.
Helppli launches AI-powered customer service. Helppli, a product-launch tool behind the HelppliX customer journey and customer service platform, has launched a configurable AI agent for customer conversations across voice, WhatsApp, SMS, web chat, and email. Merchants can shape HelppliX Agent around a specific job, such as a receptionist, a sales assistant, or a support agent.
uParcel launches marketplace management service. uParcel, a Singapore-based ecommerce fulfillment and same-day delivery company, has launched a service that runs sellers’ marketplace businesses. Called “Complete Marketplace Outsource Solutions,” the service (i) builds and optimizes a brand’s storefronts on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, (ii) manages listings, orders, promotions, on-platform advertising, and customer service, and (iii) stores, packs, and delivers orders from uParcel’s warehouse and fleet.
MoEngage launches customer engagement platform for Shopify. MoEngage, an agentic engagement platform, has announced MoEngage for Shopify. The native integration unlocks native agentic AI functionality and unifies a merchant’s Shopify data across multiple channels, including email, SMS, app and web push, WhatsApp, and on-site personalization. Marketing teams can execute workflows to automate routine tasks such as drafting campaigns, generating performance reports, and tailoring multi-region messaging.
miniOrange introduces WordPress MCP server to control AI agents. miniOrange has announced its Secure MCP Server for WordPress, designed to help businesses connect AI assistants and agents to WordPress while maintaining security, governance, and control. Businesses (i) define which WordPress capabilities AI agents can access and use, (ii) apply role-based permissions to help control agent access, (iii) provide human review for configured actions, and (iv) monitor agent activity — all through a centralized dashboard.
Commerce introduces data enrichment for BigCommerce and Feedonomics. Commerce, the holding company of Feedonomics, BigCommerce, and Makeswift, has announced enrichments for Feedonomics and BigCommerce. The new capabilities help B2C and B2B merchants transform their catalogs into richer, AI-ready product intelligence at scale, Commerce says. Both Feedonomics Enrichment and BigCommerce Catalog Enrichment generate product titles, descriptions, feature bullets, FAQs, and search-engine metadata. They also produce structured data facts, snippets, and Q&A fields.
partnrUP expands agentic commerce platform. partnrUP has expanded its agentic platform with add-ons to help brands connect creator relationships to commerce. According to partnrUP, the new capabilities include (i) automated affiliate commission payouts through CJ, Rakuten, and Impact, (ii) Shopify product fulfillment for gifting and seeding programs, (iii) creator video syndication to Amazon product detail pages, and (iv) sales tracking across retailers.
Selro integrates Claude AI to help multichannel sellers create product listings. Selro, a multichannel inventory and order management platform, has integrated with Claude. Selro says the integration lets sellers leverage Claude to generate product titles, descriptions, and summary bullet points within Selro’s platform.
ThredUp launches live shopping on Whatnot. ThredUp, a recommerce platform, has announced plans to expand on Whatnot, a live-commerce tool in the U.S., U.K., and Europe. ThredUp states it will launch live shows from its distribution centers in Atlanta and Dallas, and is exploring additional ways to empower Whatnot’s seller community.
Nexa launches marketplace connecting brands with creators. Nexa launched its creator marketplace, where brands and businesses can discover and hire creators and influencers. The marketplace shows creators’ profiles and rates for free. Nexa generates revenue through a brand-side platform fee rather than deducting a percentage from creator earnings.
Easyship expands export infrastructure for U.K. eBay shipping. Easyship, a global shipping software and API, has expanded its export infrastructure for eBay U.K. shipping. Easyship delivers hub processing, bulk label generation, compliance screening, carrier integrations, and customs documentation, all built for high-volume marketplace order flow. According to Easyship, eBay sellers can now ship to 195 countries and territories, with every parcel cleared for export by Easyship fulfillment infrastructure in the U.K., Canada, and the U.S.
UPS unveils secure commerce across the supply chain. UPS has launched Secure Commerce, a suite of supply chain tools for proactive shipping and ecommerce risk mitigation. The tools — InsureShield Shipping Insurance for shipment protection and claims recovery; Parcel Pro for high-value and specialty shipments; and CommerceShield technology for risk mitigation — provide a view of the entire supply chain, empowering businesses to make smarter decisions before, during. and after delivery, according to UPS.
