Convention(al) Wisdom: The Best Pay-Per-Click Seminars

One fortunate thing about being in the pay-per-click industry today is that there is easy access to a lot of useful and high-quality information. Whether it is magazines (such as this one), blogs, websites, and conferences and tradeshows — all are meant to help you grow your business through online marketing.

Conferences and in-person events are a terrific learning opportunity. But, there are so many events throughout the year that it becomes difficult to decide which ones to attend. So to help you with that decision, I am including a breakdown of the best events for those interested in pay-per-click advertising.

PPC Summit

A series of small, two-day events programmed and developed by past Yahoo! Search Marketing executives. These events take place throughout the year in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and London and are small enough (about 150-250 attendees) that every attendee gets personalized attention from the speakers.

High Rankings SEM Seminar

Hosted by Jill Whalen, one of the first search-marketing specialists. Each session is small, with just a few dozen attendees. The small size encourages interaction between the speakers and guests, so you can expect to get answers to many questions tailored specifically for your business.

Search Marketing Expo

A new conference series launched in 2006 and taking the industry by storm with a high-quality agenda and specialized events. With several events taking place per year, I think that this will develop into a “must attend” conference series

Search Engine Strategies

The oldest and the largest conference in the search marketing industry. Ranging in length from two to four days, with events all over the United States and the world, SES offers a terrific variety of speakers, topics, and attendees.

Click here to go to Ad-tech.com. While ad-tech doesn’t focus specifically on paid search, it is also one of the oldest and largest conferences. For issues like interactive media, the mobile marketplace, and social marketing, in addition to paid search, this is the show to attend.
