MailChimp, the self-service email marketing firm, has announced new features to its platform. Page Mage, a third-party eBay listing service, has just launched, as has Payments-R-Us.com, an informational site to help merchants choose between thousands of credit card merchant account providers.
MailChimp now allows its customers to segment their email marketing lists based on purchase activity (product purchase, amount spent, or product category).
Another new feature of MailChimp is email targeting based on subscriber engagement. For example, a MailChimp customer can send a special campaign to loyal clients or send a “come-back” campaign to inactive members on their list before deleting those members.
Payments-R-Us.com is a new resource for merchants who accept credit cards and other forms of online payments. The free service suggests a number of appropriate vendors based on some basic information submitted by the merchant. The merchant can then choose which of the suggested vendors they wish to contact.
Payments-R-Us.com also serves as an educational tool for merchants confused by the credit card processing industry. The site includes an extensive library of articles providing “insider” knowledge and expertise.
EBay sellers looking to stand out from their competitors have a new solution. Page Mage enables these sellers to create customized, interactive listings, with rich-media features like video, images, and moving text.
Page Mage also gives eBay sellers the ability to showcase their listings on more than a dozen social networks and blogs including Facebook, MySpace, and Blogger.
