10 Google Apps for Social Media Management and Marketing
Google Apps is a suite of applications that help you run your business. It is a cloud-based, hosted service that allows you to integrate a variety of Google products such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and others on your own domain. Applications fit a number of business categories including accounting and finance, productivity, project management, and sales and marketing, which can be found in the Google Apps Marketplace.
Within the sales and marketing category are many tools that provide social media management and marketing functionality. Here is a list of 10 that I have reviewed and recommend.
Wishpond offers eight types of social media campaigns in one suite including sweepstakes, photo contests, and group offers. A built-in “Like-to-see” fan-gate option that requires users to like a page before they can interact with an app is included, along with custom forms that enable you to collect email signups.

BlogUpp features an all-in-one blog promotion tool that is easy to set up and manage. The app connects a blog community and media distribution network that broadcasts via an interactive blog widget, content discovery toolbar, social network cross-posting, and a blog directory.
Users submit a blog URL to get started. Blogs that use Blogger.com are able to install the service through a seamless integration.

Fyrebox helps you create games for your Facebook page that are designed to grow your mailing list and drive engagement. In-depth analytics can be accessed on the statistics page. Games can be also be installed on a WordPress blog or your website. Five types of games are available and no coding is necessary to create a game.

OnFast is a social media management solution designed for small businesses that enables users to manage and measure social networks from a single dashboard. You can update multiple social networks at once, schedule posts in advance, create and publish coupons to social networks, and view statistics via a reporting feature. You can also capture customer emails when coupons are redeemed and include optional QR codes.
Price: Free for 30 days. Premium plans available for small, medium, and enterprise businesses.
Zoho Campaigns combines email and social marketing software that integrates with a customer relationship management (CRM) application. It offers design templates to make campaign creation easier, and includes post scheduling options for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as real-time stats. The app integrates with Google Drive, Google Contacts, and Google Spreadsheet for data collection and storage.
Price: Free for up to 500 contacts and 2,500 emails per month. Premium plans start at $5 per month.
Tweasy enables marketing via multiple channels that include email, mobile, websites, and Facebook. You can publish news and coupons, launch a contest, create a landing page, or collect customer feedback on all channels. Web forms allow customers to order products and register online to a newsletter or contest.
Price: $29 per month
For WordPress users, e5: Google Apps + WordPress is an open source plugin that fully integrates WordPress with Google Apps for Business. You can embed files from Google Drive, post photos to your site directly from Picasa, and schedule posts using Google Calendar.

Web2Express helps businesses monitor social networks and integrates with some CRM programs. The app also lets you monitor your products and product competition.
Price: Google Apps Marketplace lists the price as negotiable.
Rapportive is a social CRM application that enables you to view publicly available data about email contacts directly from Gmail including a contact’s photo, list of occupations, location, recent tweets, and social media profiles.
Desk.com is a social help desk that features real-time customer support via email, Facebook, Twitter, live chat, web, and phone from a single administrative console. Mobile versions of the app work on iOS, Android, and BlackBerry.
Price: $3 per month for up to 3 people.
