Monitor Chargebacks

Chargebacks can be caused by fraud, dubious products, poor customer service, or an inadequate payment processor. Because credit card companies are concerned about these issues, they limit a merchant’s percentage of allowed chargebacks to one percent. When chargebacks exceed this threshold, fines can occur and eventually the merchant can lose the right to process credit cards. Keep chargebacks to a minimum by choosing a reputable payment processor, settling your customers' concerns quickly, and monitoring your statements for fraudulent claims.
