Brian Getting is a programmer, designer and all-around technical wiz. His programming abilities include Ruby on Rails, PHP and MySQL, among other disciplines, and he has held technology and web-related positions for other media companies in addition to Practical eCommerce.

In addition, he is the Executive Director at Terra Firma Design & Consulting, an Internet design and consulting firm specializing in Ruby on Rails websites.

Brian lives in the historic Nye Beach area of Newport, Oregon, along the Pacific coast, where he spends time with his dog, kayaks and marvels at the Pacific Northwest.
